3 Eyelooks

So I thought I’d do a post today about different ways to wear eyeliner this Summer! Like I said in my previous post, I like to keep my lips neutral in the warmer months, so I make my eyes the ‘statement’.

So for my faceeeee I have used Soap & Glory bronzer and a blusher, Makeup Revolution highlighter & brow pencil, Bourjois eyeshadow in 08, NYC brow pencil, newlook lipstick & The Body Shop lipbalm.

IMG_9093For my first eyelook I kept it v v simple and just lined my tight line and smudged it into the outer corner of my lashline. This is a good way to make the lashes look thicker and finish off the simple look. I used the Maybelline colour tattoo in on & on bronze, essence long lasting waterproof eyeliner in black, benefit rollerlash and the yellow shade of the MUA matte palette.

After this I then used the eye pencil and did a half-wedge on the outer corner of my eye. This creates more of a statement, but is still q subtle.

Lastly I created a bolder finish with my ‘fast stroke’ liquid liner by Collection and added the essence pencil to the outer corner of my waterline also.

Hope you enjoyed this post! Hope you have a fab fab week!

Much love,

Shopping haul! ~Mostly beauty!

So recently I got a job and I decided that it was about time that I treat myself to some nicer, more expensive products that I wouldn’t typically purchase. So I went shopping with my friend, Zoe! We went to LUSH, Debenhams, Accessorize, boots and a few others!

IMG_6435 IMG_6434

I have wanted to get a contour/sculpting brush for quite some time now, so I couldn’t resist from picking this one from Real Techniques up! I like how it is more dense, helping to create a more precise application! This costed £9.99

Sponge and instructions spongey

So I finally picked up Real Technique’s Miracle Complexion Sponge! I have promised myself that I would pick this up for ages as it is known to be a good dupe for the slightly more pricey beauty blender! I quite like the shape of this and look forward to using it! This was only £5.99!

Clinique’s high impact mascara was given as a gift after I purchased the 2 mas lip liners. Not really much to say, but I do like the wand on this!

colour crush IMG_6431kkkk

The Body Shop’s lipstick in Colour Crush is a kind of sheen lipstick. Very natural looking with a litttttle bit of a shimmer. The lady who was helping me choose a shade told me how the lasting power of these lipsticks are incredible! I’ll let you know if I agree! 🙂 These cost £10 each.

Shade one Shade 1

Another from the body shop is their honey bronze bronzing powder. This, as a first impression, appears to be the best contour for us pale skinned girls! I got this in shade 1 for £13. I think the design on this is so cute also!

LUSH It Started With A Kiss Lip tint is a gorgeous smelling lip balm/colour. It looks quite like an intense red when first applied to the lips, but once rubbed in it looks gorgeous! Truly, a your lips but better kinda shade! 🙂 This costed £5.95 and i’m excited to get using this!

Another product from LUSH is the ROOTS hair treatment. I heard about this after watching one of Emma Blackery’s youtube videos. If you’re \ fan of her and her channel, you’d know that she shaved her head earlier in the year. Her hair grew crazily fast and she recommends this for those who want to try and create a little growth spurt in the hair! I should mention now however, this smells horrible!! It reminds me of a medicine I used to take when I was ill. It it kinda a chalky mint! Gross! But, who knows, it might create a miracle hair growth spurt! The whole pot costs £10.25.

Melba 319 ok Melba 319

From SLEEK I picked up their Eau La La Lip liner in Melba 319. Honestly, this looks nothing like the colour at the end of the pencil and, what’s worse, the stall I was at didn’t have any samples. For £4.99 it’s not so bad! I haven’t even really tried this out on my lips yet though, so, who knows, I might love it!  (Swatches below)

In Anticipation

In anticipation pro longwear lip pencil lip liner (£15) was the first lip liner I picked up from mac. I love how creamy this feels and how it instantly sets on my lips! This is a nice, slightly darker, tint for the lips!

Edge to Edge

Edge to Edge Lip pencil (£12.50) is more of a pencil? Does that make sense? It’s slightly less creamy, but still lovely! Below are the swatches:

Lip liner swatches>> Edge To Edge> In Anticipation > Melba 319

Lastly is this cute little handbag that I bought. This was reduced from like £20 to £5.10! I love smaller handbags that sit on the shoulder! This also clicks into place with the clasp on the front!

So that’s all I bought today! Look out for some reviews in the future! 🙂 Hope you enjoyed reading!

June Favourites

Am I seriously writing my favorites for June already?!! Half the year is finished?! What even! So, I hope you all had a brilliant month and are looking forward to July. I love July as it feels the most Summery to me, plus it’s my Birthday in July! So, look out for Birthday Makeup posts!

But anyway, What did I enjoy in June?

I’ve been loving my It’s about Prime primer from Soap & Glory (£8). I prefer to use liquidy primers as a base during the summer months instead of creamy bases. I feel liquid primers tend to just stay on the lids longer than thicker cream ones without creasing. This is also such a gorgeous shimmery base which brings a lovely summer glow to all your eyeshadow looks! (It’s not in the picture above… oops!)

For my eyeliner i’ve been using the collection kohl eyeliner (£1.99) smudged into my waterline and the Collection 24 hour felt tip (£2.99) to line my upper lash line. This is so easy to do a thick or thin line and it stays all day as long as it doesn’t get wet!

Maybelline Brow drama sculpting mascara (£4.99) is brilliant. It fills in the blank gaps in my brows and sets them in place with a little hint of colour.

w7 in the nude eyeshadow palette (£5) is such a lovely palette. I use this for all kinds of looks! My favorite shades are the first one, the fourth, the seventh and the eleventh. They are lovely nude grayish warm shades. I suck at describing colours (sorry!). I’ll soon post up a few different looks you can get with these shadows.

Rimmel London Match Perfection foundation (£6.99) has been a perfect one for me this Summer. It has such a natural finish on my skin. I have the lightest shade available. This doesn’t look at all cakey and it just evens everything out perfectly! I like to apply this with my kabuki stippling brush!

Soap & Glory Solar Powder (£11) is the best bronzer that I have ever used. It is perfect for my pale skin. I only really use the highlighter side along with the contour side because it is so natural… but if you want a reallllllly subtle glow it is perfect!

IMG_6209 IMG_6208

For concealer I’ve been using this really pale pale pale concealer. I’m not really sure what the brand is, I think it’s makeup store. This is so thick and is the palest I’ve ever seen a makeup product! I dab this onto my skin and blend it out with the tiny stippling brush. I would apply this is a browbone highlight, above my lips and on the top of my cheekbone. It is such a natural look. I highly recommend a light concealer to all pale girls!

Kate Moss 08

For my lips i’ve been loving Kate Moss 08 Lasting Finish Lipstick £5.49 because it is such a perfect nude for me! It’s like a dusky pinky purple nude. So lovely!

This lipscrub from LUSH is so nice! I think I bought it for about £2.50, but the lipscrubs are typically £5.75. This is a cola flavour which is so tasty! Basically it smooths out your lips making your lipstick apply so smoothly!

So those are my monthly favourites of June! Hope you enjoyed reading! 🙂

MAKEUP: My top 5 face products of 2014

So, looks like you guys liked my last post about my top 5 eye products of 2014, so I thought i should continue with the other parts of my/yo face. This year I have tried loadsa new stuff for my faceeeeeee… Pretty hard to narrow it down to 5 to be honest! Powders, blushers, highlighters, foundations… A lot to talk about so let’s begin!:

true-match-liquid-foundation-w4-golden-natural-v2 download (1) love-first-blush Sleek-Contour-kit-with-Blush solarpowder

L’oreal true match foundation:£9.99 I have loved this foundation this year – had to include it. I love how adjustable the coverage is with this one. half a pump does the whole face and a lovely light coverage. One whole pump high-coverage. Brilliant! Personally I apply this by doing a small pump and rub it onto the required area on the face with my warm fingers. I then buff it in with a stippling brush and then with a foundation brush. I then go onto the next parts of my face and do the same. I find you get the best finish when i do it this way. It sets nicely and does a pale enough shade to match my white white skin! I also find that it stays on all day without powder! Brilliant all year round. 10/10 recommend this one!

Collection sheer loose powder- £4.99 I have always had difficulty in wearing powder over my foundation because i am yet to find one that matches my pale complexion. This one is a lovely light, better-than-skin feeling and it’s also less than a fiver!

Sleek Makeup face form – £9.99 Contouring is something I started this year. Contouring the cheek bones, highlighting below my eyes and putting the gorgeous blusher on the apples of my cheeks. Hey, I could do a lil tutorial post at some stage explaining how I use this one! I have the ‘light’ shade in this product. Very highly pigmented and a lovely not-chalky finish!

Soap & Glory love at first blush- £11 I use this beautiful light pink shimmered blusher in the summer time. It is a makeup bag essential during the bright months. I wouldn’t really use it during winter time, but I do love it in the warmer months.

Soap & Glory solar powder – £11 I know I mentioned the sleek face form earlier, but this one is another favourite. This one is a lighter one, one that is nice for the subtle contour look.  Not much more to say haha..

Hope you’re having a nice day today! 🙂

-i have loved the 17/seventeen brand for yeaaaaaaars! The products are a great price and most of the products are really great!

From left to right

‘First Flush’

Great for the paler girls and also darker skin. gives a nice lil flush to the cheeks. It’s also highly pigmented so you only need to dab your brush into it! 8/10

Really great blusher duo – the blusher colour is a nice darker colour with a little bit of golden shimmer. The highlight is a really great colour too, again a pale colour with gold shimmer. 8/10

‘In Bloom’

I loved this blusher duo. I loved the light highlighter and the lighter pink shade of blusher. It broke in my makeup bag and that would be why it’s all crushed. 10/10

Left – right:

The shimmer shaker was discontinued

Instant glow body bronzer

Don’t like it… i got it free when i bought the powder above it. If you’re going to use a body tanner, buy a proper one! 0/10

Instant glow bronzing pearls

Love it! However, it is discontinued.

Hide away – concealer cream

Love this! I think this tops the collection concealer too! It goes in shades a shade light enough for paler girls. it gives it a nice finish to the skin too. great for hiding blemishes and/or under eye circles! 10/10 give it a shot! 🙂

wow 3 way highlighter ; glow and prime

Gives a nice glow finish to the skin! Wear under the foundation to give a nice subtle glow, wear above it for a full-on WOW look! 8/10

Eye crayon

I got this pencil in ‘iced’. It’s great as a shadow base. Stays perfectly on the waterline.

The pencil next to it is discontinued.

Eyeshadow trio

This shadow trio is pretty damn good! It’s highly pigmented and stays put for quite a while too with out creasing. It has a highllight shade, a shade for the whole lid and then a shade for the outer corner/crease. I have the 3 swatches shown below. 8/10Image

Wild metallic eyes cream shadow

I got this in the shade ‘bronze’ I have forever been wishing i got it in the ‘nude’ colour though. Haven’t found a way i could wear this one yet… still, it does have a great staying power with out  creasing, so i’d give it 7/10

Perk & paint eyeliner duo

It’s a highly pigmented highlight and black eyeliner. Stays on for ages 10/10 try it out!

Smoulder gel eyeliner

MEH. Not great. doesn’t stay – kinda flakes off… dries up quickly. 4/10

Dolled up mascara

Says what it does on the tin! One coat and your lashes are full and long! Looks really great! 10/10 Image of the brush below:

Wild curls

I LOVEEEEEEE this! Seriously. A nice natural look you get from the brown one and a great bold look you get from the black! 100% recommend to anyone! curled lashes with out the curler too! 10/10 Image of the brush below:

Berry crush lipstain:

High pigmentation… the balm with it broke on the first use which was kinda disappointing as i did like the smooth finish it gave to my lips! Cheap enough with fab colour pay-off. I have it in the shade ‘smokin’ hot’ and i love it! 9/10

I have tried the soft pen liner before and it was rubbish as it smudged all over my face. very disappointing.

However, I hear that the Semi-permanent liquid liner is really great!

Have you tried any of these products? Do you like them or hate them? Any 17 products you’d recommend? I’d love to know!

I know that S&G is more well-known for their skincare range, but i think their makeup needs much more hype! I think i’d say that altogether, Soap & Glory is my favourite drugstore brand as a whole. I love all of their products and below i’ll explain why! 🙂

Yes, i know 8 is quite a small amount of products from a brand, but my collection is growing.

Kick Ass Concealer

I love love love this concealer. It has a lovely smooth and thick texture that blends in brilliantly to the skin. It has 3 sections – the left is peach-toned while the right is a more yellow-tone to cover the redness from red parts on your face or even blemishes. The third part to this concealer is a lovely transparent powder that you apply on top of the concealer. This also comes with a great soft little sponge to apply the powder. This is a makeup bag must have! 10/10 recommend!

Lipstick – ‘POMPOM’

Okay, if you’ve been reading my blog you will know that i absolutely adore this stuff! The staying power is really really great, colour is strong and vibrant and it feels lovely and smooth on the lips too! The colour is a nice soft red colour. I’m keen to try more of the shades available, when I do I will deffo do a lil post about it! 15/10 recommend this!

Love at First Blush – Blusher

This is one of the 2 blushers. It is definitely an acquired-taste… It leaves a soft apricot shimmer… nice in the Spring/Summer months! It has a great pigmentation – a little really does go a long way. There are (3) different shades, 1 is a highlighter and the other 2 are pink/apricot tones. You could use each little section seperately, but I prefer just swishing my brush through the whole thing and micing all the shades together – to give the swatch shown in the picture abouve. I personally give this about a 7 out of 10.

Peach Party – blusher

Not really sure about this one… I got it in a 3 for 2 over the Christmas holidays, so the bronze-finish doesn’t really go well with the cold weather. I do like the colour it gives to the cheeks, but because of the bronze colour, i’m not very sure where i would put this one on my cheeks… maybe my cheekbones or just the apples? I may do a post about it later when i figure it out. I imagine i will be using it more ofver the Summer holidays! There are 3 or 4 shades of bronze in this, 1 again being a highlight colour. This is also a multiple use product as I would use it on my eyes for a nice bronze eyeshadow look. I’d rate this as a 6/10.

Solar powder – bronzer/contour/highlight

I LOVE this. It comes in 2 shades, 1 matte tan colour which is great for paler girls and 1 light shimmer. The shimmer is very feint so it isn’t over the top, making it perfect for everyday use.  You NEED to try this one out! Totally underrated product! Perfect for the handbag too.

Thick & fast – mascara

Aw, i have a love/hate thing with this mascara. The brush is really really great i love what it does to my lashes. However, the formula is rubbish – it smears all down my eyes. Another problem is, once i took it out of the box, the lid was broken. Kinda’ a pain in the butt. The colour it leaves is the blackest of black leaving your lashes looking fab and bold. So yes, i would say about 5/10

Supercat – pen eyeliner

This is a really great product. It stays on all day, you can get a thick or a thin line gives a feint black line too. I know the swatch in the above picture looks brown… I think it is because of the rubbish camera quality! I think it’s about £8, so it’s not overly priced either as it lasts a very long time. I’d rate it about 7/10.

It’s about prime – eyeshadow primer

FINALLY!! THERE IS A DRUGSTORE PRIMER THAT WORKS JUST AS WELL AS URBAN DECAY! Yep, I said it! It gives a lovely lil glow to the eyelids, gives the eyeshadow a vibrant and pigmented finish – no matter what eyeshadow it is AND it keeps the eyeshadow on all day! You must give this one a shot… from what i remember it is about £8!! That’s fabbb! 10/10 recommend

Yep, I like all of the products that i have purchased form the soap & glory line and i do plan on buying a few more..!

Have you tried any S&G products? Do you love them as much as I do? Are there any products from this brand that you recommend to me? Do let me know!! It’d be great to read about what you guys have to say!
